ORIENT-EXPRESS RECOGNIZED WORLDWIDE IN

NEW YORK, NY (July 22, 2009) – Orient-Express is delighted to be featured prominently in Travel + Leisure magazine’s recently-announced “World’s Best Awards” 2009.  In the 14th annual poll, readers select their favorite hotels, airlines, cruise lines, outfitters, cities, and islands around the globe.

 

Orient-Express' three safari camps in Botswana fared especially well, having each made their debut on the “Top 100 Hotels Overall.”  Eagle Island Camp, Khwai River Lodge and Savute Elephant Camp received rankings of #13, #44 and #75, respectively. Orient-Express properties also had good showings among the “Top City Hotels” in their regions, with Casa de Sierra Nevada taking the #2 spot for Mexico, Hotel Monasterio as #4 in Central and South America, and The Observatory Hotel taking #5 in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
