BANYAN TREE PHUKET INTRODUCES RETREAT FOR THE SENSES

August 10, 2009 (Singapore) Redefining the quintessential Banyan Tree experience, Banyan Tree Phuket introduces “Retreat for the Senses”, a holistic experience of rejuvenation, wellness and discovery. Tailored according to individual lifestyles and preferences, “Retreat for the Senses” is the perfect start to achieving complete relaxation without spending a fortune: an all-inclusive package including accommodation, signature spa treatments at the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, three sumptuous meals daily, yoga and meditation sessions, and a series of enriching activities that are held in the lush natural surroundings of Banyan Tree Phuket.

There are four unique programs to choose from, centered on the themes of Rejuvenation, Wellness and Discovery.  The Rejuvenation retreat focuses on healing through relieving daily stresses. When seeking to indulge in Rejuvenation, a series of spa treatments are scheduled after a personal consultation reviewing what is best to replenish each guest’s energy.  For a trip centered on Wellness, Banyan Tree Phuket’s experts help to create an itinerary to enhance health and well-being through culinary selections, yoga, and meditation.  The Wellness weekend focuses on improving daily life for mental and physical health.  The last program focuses on Discovery.  It enhances the innovation of your passions through activities such as batik painting, Thai Classical Dance, and preparation of Thai cuisine with culinary masters.  All three “Retreat for the Senses” programs provide an all-inclusive way to embark on an adventure to enlighten the mind, body, and soul.

During the “Retreat for the Senses”, each individual undergoes a personal lifestyle assessment to determine the best level of attention. The introductory-level experience is the Sense of Bliss program, the intermediate-level experience is the Sense of Heritage program, and the advance-level experiences comprise the Sense of Ayurveda and Sense of Purification programs. Each retreat is designed to relax and rejuvenate each guest throughout their stay.

All “Retreat for the Senses” programs include a wellness consultation during the stay with the resident Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Arun Satheesh, who will analyze each individual’s situation to recommend diet choices and lifestyle changes to attain mental, physical and spiritual harmony. Yoga and meditation sessions are also included in all “Retreat for the Senses” programs. Guests will enjoy personalized service from a dedicated Resort Host who will attend to each guest throughout the stay to assist with every request and make recommendations on the best activities and spa treatments.

Reservations for the three-night “Retreat for the Senses” program begin July 1, 2009 with rates starting at $360.00+ per person per night and $610.00+ per couple per night in a Deluxe Villa. Valid until October 31, 2009, these exclusive introductory rates offer guests savings of 30% off published rates and are limited to four bookings per day. From November 1, 2009, the starting rates for the three-night program will start at $580.00+ per person each night and $890.00+ per couple a night.
