Enjoy the beautiful Chesapeake Bay area in the most beautiful time of the year, autumn, as the 4th annual Smithfield Music's Aiken & Friends Fest – “A Celebration of Songwriters” returns once again to historic Smithfield, Virginia on Saturday, October 3.
Tidewater Virginia's Premier Americana/Roots Music Festival will feature national recording artist, Mike Aiken, and Grammy Winner, Brad Davis, as well as local, regional and other national artists with an emphasis on songwriting. Other artists performing include Angelo M, MSG Trio, Ruth Wyand and Win Winslow, among others. Beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until 5:30 p.m., this outdoor portion of the festival is FREE and takes place at Joyner Field in downtown Smithfield. Adult beverages and concessions will be available. Check the official Aiken Fest website for a complete listing of artists and times.
Saturday evening the festival once again returns to the Smithfield Little Theater for a night of magic music with Brad Davis and the Mike Aiken Band. The Theater concert is a ticketed event ($30 in advance, $35 at the door). Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Theater seating is limited, so order your tickets today and save.
New this year! Enjoy guitar and songwriting workshops” with Mike and Brad on Friday, October 2, 7:30 p.m. at the Smithfield Little Theater. Tickets for the workshops are $10 for both or free with your concert ticket purchase. Space is limited.
The festival is brought to you by Smithfield Music whose mission it is to raise money for youth music education in Isle of Wight County.
