KOLLLA COAST, HAWAII’S BIG ISLAND (November 12, 2007) – Bring in the New Year on December 31st at Hilton Waikoloa Village®, coined “the Big Island’s entertainment complex of the Kohala Coast.” With so many exciting options and celebrations for everyone, from a party for keiki and teens to elegant dinner and dancing, you won’t want the night (and year) to end!

First enjoy an elegant dinner buffet in the Grand Ballroom. Then Big Bang Beat, a 12 piece review, will take the stage as they feature the favorites of the 60's Motown sound and the fabulous funk of the 70's through to dance hits from the 80's and 90's. Big Bang Beat is lead by four female singers, plus a crack horn section, a precision choreographed stage show, and a zany, non-stop energy that since 1986 has made this highly acclaimed band the ultimate dance party.

The cost is $265 per adult and $180 per child (5 – 12 years of age), inclusive of a glass of sparkling wine, party favors, a midnight toast, tax and gratuity. Doors open at 8 p.m. with general admission, dinner is served 8 p.m. – 9:45 p.m., and music and dancing takes place from 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Black tie or resort chic attire is required.

The resort’s three on property signature restaurants will also feature customized, set New Year’s Eve dinner menus ranging from $82 to $93 plus tax and gratuity, as well as the standard award-winning a la carte menus. Choose from northern Italian cuisine at Donatoni’s, traditional Japanese at Imari, or Pacific Rim steak and seafood at Kamuela Provision Company.  The special New Year’s Eve buffet at Palm Terrace is perfect for families with an assortment of culinary creations made with fresh, Big Island ingredients and island inspiration. $60 plus tax and gratuity for adults and $30 plus tax and gratuity for children ages 5 – 12.

While the adults enjoy Big Bang Beat in concert or a romantic dinner, keiki (children) and teens can have their own fun at a party just for them. Children ages 5 -12 can experience “A Keiki  Carnival” from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. $90 per child includes dinner, a mini carnival, art activities, face painting, a costume contest, and more.
