Lauderdale Spa Chic Offers $99 Treatments, Special Resort Packages

GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – August 24, 2009 – The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) announces the return of Lauderdale Spa Chic, September 2009, a month-long promotion during which top spas invite guests to take a “life break” and relax in luxury for less.

Lauderdale Spa Chic features the offerings of a dozen spas with customized treatments and innovative techniques for just $99, a savings of up to 50 percent. Many participating resorts are also offering special packages and rates in conjunction with a Spa Chic stay.

“We all need a break to re-energize and relax,” said Nicki E. Grossman, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.  “Lauderdale Spa Chic is the perfect getaway to unwind, chill out and enjoy some well-deserved pampering at a highly affordable price.”

Sample $99 spa treatments available during Lauderdale Spa Chic include the Rapid Rub Massage and Oxygen Blast at the Bliss Spa at the newly-opened W Fort Lauderdale; the Ying Yang Massage and Citrus Manicure at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa; the 80-minute “Rollerssage” at the Heavenly Spa by Westin; a 50-minute massage, manicure, pedicure and spa lunch at The Spa at Ocean Sands Resort and Spa; and The Ritz-Carlton Signature Massage at The Spa at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale. 

Sample Spa Chic resort packages available during the month of September include the following:

• “Mini Marie Antoinette Package” at The Atlantic Hotel:  Includes accommodations in a Grand Deluxe Ocean Front Room for $259 per night, with a Marie Antoinette Sampler, comprised of a body scrub and massage. 
• Spa Chic Stay at the Hollywood Beach Marriott: Includes Deluxe Partial Ocean View accommodations along with a Spa Chic service at the Spa on the Broadwalk for $218 per night. 
• Spa Chic Stay at Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa: Includes accommodations in a newly renovated two-room, two-bath suite with choice of Swedish massage, Custom Facial or Gentleman’s Facial or choice of Classic Spa Manicure or Pedicure, for $219 per room, per night.
• The “Simply Renew Spa Package” at The Diplomat Golf Resort & Spa: Includes a 50-minute spa treatment per person, a Welcome Wellness Basket, daily continental breakfast and 4pm late checkout. Single rates are $285 per night, and rates for doubles are $350 per night.
