Lauderdale Spa Chic Now Extended Through October 31, Offering More Time to De-Stress for Less

GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (September 29, 2009) - Lauderdale Spa Chic is so good, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) has extended the destination-wide spa month through October 31, 2009. Originally slated to run for the month of September, 12 participating spas will continue to offer $99 specialty treatments and signature services - which boast a savings of up to 50 percent - for an extra month.

"Both visitors and local spa-goers have truly embraced the program, and with specialty treatments, personalized service and fabulous pricing, who wouldn't?" said Nicki E. Grossman, president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. "The response has been great this year, so we thought we would keep a good thing going and stretch the Lauderdale Spa Chic offers a little longer."

A sample of $99 spa treatments available during the extended Lauderdale Spa Chic include a Loofah Salt Glow and Seaweed body wrap followed by a Milk & Honey body scrub at the Contour Day Spas at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel; a 100-minute "Tension Tamer" Swedish massage at the Palm Aire Spa at the Wyndham Resort; a full spa-afternoon including a 50-minute massage, manicure, pedicure and lunch at the Ocean Sands Resort and Spa; the Deluxe Stress and Pain Relief Massage Package at Planet Massage; Seashell Massage at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa; and The Ritz-Carlton Signature Massage at The Spa at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale.
