Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (October 5, 2009) – InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the opening of the InterContinental Asiana Saigon, the first international luxury hotel to open in Ho Chi Minh City in the last four years.  Rising 21 stories above the cosmopolitan Hai Ba Trung Street, the property features 305 spacious rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, and a spa and health club including a 65-foot long outdoor swimming pool. Conveniently located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the InterContinental Asiana Saigon is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions, commercial buildings and downtown entertainment facilities.

All rooms and suites in the InterContinental Asiana Saigon feature floor-to-ceiling windows, with panoramic views of the city, and include deep-soaking bathtubs and separate walk-in rain showers. Club InterContinental, situated on the 19th floor of the property, also offers club guests a stunning view of the cityscape. To celebrate its opening, InterContinental Asiana Saigon is offering an Opening Special Rate of USD $195* per night which is inclusive of a complimentary breakfast for two and access to health club and outdoor swimming pool. The offer is available until December 31, 2009.

The InterContinental Asiana Saigon also provides extensive meeting facilities for business travelers with eight meeting rooms and the largest Grand Ballroom in the downtown area, which can host up to 600 people in the indoor and outdoor pre-function spaces. The hotel is also offering Deluxe Meeting Packages with 15% off all events organized from September 9 to December 31, 2009. Rates start at USD$35* per person or USD$45* per person, including lunch.

In addition to premium facilities and a consistent level of service, InterContinental Asiana Saigon is committed to providing guests with their ‘In the Know’ knowledge to help them enjoy local, authentic and enriching experiences. These experiences include cooking classes, an art appreciation tour and Saigon history tours. Guests can choose to partake in the “Retracing The Past: American Involvement In Saigon History Tour” organized by the hotel which includes visits to such landmarks as the former CIA building, the rooftop café of the Rex hotel – a familiar landmark for Americans during the Vietnam War, and the Reunification Palace.
