Star athletes Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki will be in Barbados November 28th & 29th, 2009, competing in “Tennis pon de rock,” a charitable event aimed at raising funds for the betterment of all Barbadian Children through sports.  The two day exhibition begins at the Gymnasium Complex on Saturday, and is hosted at the beautiful Sugar Hill Tennis Resort the second day.  Following the events, there will be a cocktail party for the players and guests hosted in the lounge/pool area at Sugar Hill. Hundreds of international competitors will travel to Barbados to participate in the 26th annual Run Barbados festival on December 4th-6th, 2009.  This event, which stands out as the oldest running marathon series hosted by Powerade, comprises a 5k Fun Run and Walk, a 10k, a Half-Marathon, and a Marathon.  In addition to the races, competitors and spectators are invited to the Finish line Party at the Esplanade, featuring water sports and the very best of local food, art, and entertainment.  Run Barbados is built around a healthy competitive spirit which makes this a fun, family event.
