(Nov. 21, 2007) – With cold temperatures for making snow and Mother Nature lending a hand with natural snowfall, the 2007-08 ski and snowboard season off  to a great start . Heading into the holidays, Killington Resort is decking the halls and celebrating the season on and off the slopes with events and deals that everyone will enjoy.

Fourth Annual Vermont Holiday Festival, Dec. 6-9

The Fourth Annual Vermont Holiday Festival, recognized by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce as a Top 10 Winter Event, will be held at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel Thursday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 8.  More than 100 decorated Christmas trees will be on display in the hotel and everyone will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win their favorite real Vermont Christmas tree to take home. Santa Claus will be visiting all weekend with his satellite workshop set up where children are welcome to help him make toys for Christmas Eve. Sleigh rides are available throughout the weekend and a sparkle and twinkle will shine through the hills as the annual White Lights of Killington light up local businesses.

Mountain Dew Rails to Riches Rail Jam and the K07 Summit

The third annual Mountain Dew Rails to Riches Rail Jam, featuring a $15,000 cash prize purse, in conjunction with the K07 Summit takes place at the K-1 Lodge Dec. 8. The rail jam finals will take place under the lights beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will consist of an hour-long open rail jam session. Consumer product demos will also be available from leading ski, snowboard and equipment manufacturers throughout the weekend.

Three-Day Killington Pre-Christmas Special

Give yourself a present of the best skiing and riding in the East, plus Killington's famous après-ski options, with a three-night/three-day or longer pre-Christmas package!  Arrive Friday December 21, 2007 or Sunday December 23, 2007 for three nights lodging and a three-day lift ticket.  Lessons and equipment rental can be added.
