New Site for U.K. Travel Enthusiasts With True Insider Tips Launches Today

12-09-2009

PHOENIX (Dec. 8, 2009)TheBritishTraveler.com, a new travel Web site from the World Tourism Network, specializing in travel content and a booking engine for those interested in visiting the U.K., was launched earlier this week. It will be especially helpful to travelers interested in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and many scenic countryside counties, including Cornwall, Devon and Dorset.

The site recommends a very limited number of exceptional hotel properties, apartments, cottages, B&Bs, pubs and inns across the U.K that can be booked on the site. Publisher Steve Langley, a Londoner and veteran of over 35 years in the tourism industry, has visited and stayed at many of the recommended properties and has included many of his insider tips on specific properties and what to do and see while there.

Of primary interest to U.S. travellers visiting Britain is its storied past, so included is an abundance of hotel histories and vintage photography will be added soon, particularly in London, to help the visitor envision the way it was many years ago.

The site includes a significant amount of content recommending places to see and things to do, also bookable on the site, not just in London but in over 20 of the top visited cities and counties featured on the site. In addition, visitors will find a listing of travel deals including Cottages of the Month, London events listing and important “Did you know” travel tips.

Also offered is the opportunity to sign up for a monthly newsletter, which will include a feature story,  reviews, upcoming events, site updates, the latest travel deals and lots of fun information that will help users plan their trip to the U.K, and enjoy it more when they get there. The first issue will be sent in early January.

The company is a Gold marketing partner with VisitLondon.com, the official tourism web site for London, and will be participating in joint promotions with VisitLondon.com in 2010.

There is one more important reason for potential travellers to visit and book their trips with TheBritishTraveler.com -- TheBritishTraveler.com will donate 5% of its annual profits to the American Cancer Society. “This terrible disease has hit very close to home for several of our staff this past year and we want to do all we can to help fight it,” said Publisher Steve Langley.
