MOSCOW, November 21, 2007 -- Moscow's first five-star, all-suite hotel
opened on September 25, 2007. MaMaison Pokrovka Suite Hotel, a member of
Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is the first Russian property in MaMaison
Hotels & Apartments' collection (a brand of Orco Property Group).
"We offer guests some of the most spacious and functional
accommodations in Moscow. The hotel has a modern design and warm
atmosphere. The name of the hotel - MaMaison or My House - reflects our
desire to offer guests the cozy feeling of a luxurious private home," says
General Manager Fedor Filimonov.
Featuring 84 deluxe suites, the MaMaison
Pokrovka Suite Hotel is located in the heart of Moscow on Pokrovka Street,
between the Garden and Boulevard Rings, in the northern part of downtown
Moscow. Pokrovka used to connect the Kremlin to royal residences and
mansions in the countryside. The Pokrovka area now features upscale
offices, chic cafes, restaurants and boutiques. The Kremlin, Red Square
and Bolshoi Theater are within a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Nearest
metro station is Chistye Prudy. Hotel's address is Pokrovka str. 40,
building 2.
The hotel has been designed by Jestico+Whiles, www.jesticowhiles.cz, the leading
British architecture practice based in London and Prague. Each suite
features a different layout, view and décor. The interior design reflects
warmth and luxury, with spacious rooms, modern furniture, high quality wooden
parquet floors, pastel colors and natural light. Facilities include fully
equipped kitchenette, cable/satellite tv, wireless phones, voicemail, PC/fax
connections, safety deposit box, bathrobes and daily complimentary mineral
water. Some suites have DVD players.
Services include a concierge,
24-hour room service, valet, business center and underground parking. A
meeting room with natural daylight is suitable for small groups.
Renowned French artist and sculptor, Guillaume Piechaud, www.guillaumepiechaud.com, has
produced a one of a kind piece for the lobby of the hotel. This permanent
sculpture is called "Pianophant." Famous Czech photographer, ?těpán Hon,
www.stepanhon.cz, will also contribute to
the artistic finish of Pokrovka. He will create a living photographic
installation in the lobby of the hotel, evolving regularly to create new moods
and an elegant ambience.
The restaurant "Numbers" has an Art Deco design
by Anton Gorlanov, a well known designer from St. Petersburg. The look
reflects a cool mix of traditional Europe, with the hot, impulsive East.
Chic, classy and cosmopolitan, Numbers is an exquisite space, with a summer
terrace and bar. Chef Said Fadli is a culinary master, combining the best
of Russian, French and Mediterranean cuisines. In addition, the Bar
"Tezon" (named for tequila brand Olmeca Tezon) is a lounge and cigar bar.
A luxurious new spa will open in September 2008. It will feature
private treatment rooms, fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and
solarium. A range of spa treatments are available, including
thalassotherapy, or hydrotherapy procedures with sea or flower water. Spa
products are from the French company Algotherm.
