21 November 2007: Conrad Hotels & Resorts has the festive season all wrapped up whether you’re a busy business traveller or enjoying the laid back luxury of a leisure break. With time being the greatest luxury of all, Conrad Hotels & Resorts has created the limited edition Conrad Connections*, a series of complimentary extras to help guests make the most of the holiday period.
Recent studies have examined the effects of international business travel on individuals and their families. One study found that the average business traveller spends an equivalent of one month a year on the road. The same study reported that one of the most popular “after work” activities when travelling on business was phoning home.**
Conrad Connections has been created to enable guests to stay in touch with those closest to them during the holiday season. Guests will be offered a complimentary five minute phone call anywhere in the world to keep them in touch with the people they care about whilst they are away from home. To ease the pressure of this time of year, participating hotels will also offer a complimentary gift wrapping service enabling guests to return home ready to celebrate.
Conrad Hotels & Resorts constantly strives to offer guests a personalised luxury experience and each participating hotel has also incorporated complimentary drinks and local delicacies to share regional festivities with guests. Examples include:

Richard Blamey, Senior Vice President, Brand Management, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, said of the new Conrad Connections: “Our records show that guests making international calls generally make brief calls and often dial the same number several times. For example at the Conrad Istanbul, more than 90 per cent of the international calls made by our guests during the holiday period last year lasted approximately five minutes.
“Even during the holiday period, up to a quarter of our guests are still travelling for business. Conrad Connections aims to help keep them in touch with those closest to them over the seasonal break as sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.”
