A WHALE OF AN ENCOUNTER IS BACK!

LAHAINA, Hawai‘i (November 20, 2007) – It’s that time of year again!  An estimated 200-600 humpback whales migrate to the warm waters of Maui every year. In celebration, the Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel is offering the Kā‘anapali Whale Encounter, a thrilling adventure package during Hawai‘i’s prime whale-watching season.  A couple can experience the five-night package for $1500, valid for travel January 1-31 and April 1-7, 2008. Included are:

 

  • Five nights in Partial Ocean View accommodation
  • Compact rental car with unlimited mileage
  • Daily buffet breakfast at the Mixed Plate Restaurant
  • One dinner at the Tiki Terrace Restaurant
  • Whale Watching Cruise– Guaranteed whale sightings!
  • Admission to the Maui Ocean Center, the island’s premier aquarium where Hawaiian culture meets the ocean in an interactive environment.
  • Special logo cooler bag with a disposable camera and two beach towels
  • Two bottles of water per day

 

The package cost is $750 per person, representing a savings of more than $299 per couple.  Children under 18 are allowed to stay in the guest room at no additional cost.  Additional family members will be charged $30 per night for accommodations plus the cost of package activities and meals, although children under six years of age can dine at the hotel’s two restaurants for free.  The Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel also offers ‘Aloha Passport for Kids,’ a complimentary program where children 12 years and younger can learn about Hawai‘i’s rich island heritage in a fun and interactive way.  As a part of the program, children receive stamps in their Aloha Passport and gifts at passport destinations, the hotel’s various activities, shops and restaurants.

 

Guests will also be able to take advantage of the many Hawaiian cultural activities offered at the Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel including a sunset hula show, nightly live Hawaiian entertainment, lau (leaf) printing, ukulele lessons, poi pounding, lei and ti leaf skirt making, hula classes, garden tours and more. Each visit to Maui’s most Hawaiian hotel includes the ‘Ohana Welcome Breakfast and Farewell Lei Ceremony.
