In addition to observing the spectacular Northern Lights from the deck of the largest winter lodge in Manitoba, the tour also includes several outdoor activities such as: ice fishing, a unique lake excursion aboard an enclosed Bombardier ice bus, a tour to the Flin Flon Mining Museum, a visit to an Aboriginal art gallery, a slide presentation by a local historian, cultural art demonstrations such as caribou tufting and aboriginal traditions.
For $1889.00 Cdn + 6% GST this package includes the Planetarium presentation of "Fire in the Sky" at the Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg. This will be followed by a private workshop conducted by the resident astronomy expert who will provide tips on how to best capture the Aurora on film. Non-stop Winnipeg - Flin Flon - Winnipeg flights, all meals and activities as mentioned above, and three nights accommodation based on double occupancy in a private cabin at Bakers Narrows Lodge round out the package.
