LOS ANGELES, March 17, 2010— Nordique Tours is offering an exceptional escorted, nine day/eight night tour to Croatia and Slovenia called Dalmatian Sunshine beginning at $1745 per person, double occupancy, or $2440 single occupancy.
 
The tour includes eight nights of hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, five dinners, extensive sightseeing tours in seven different destinations, professional tour director escorting the group in a modern air-conditioned motor coach, arrival and departure transfers, luggage handling, service charges and hotel taxes.  Departures are from Dubrovnik beginning most Saturdays from April 17 through Oct. 30, 2010 and return from Zagreb.
 
Beginning in Dubrovnik, the medieval city on the Adriatic and UNESCO World Heritage Site, this city is a treasure trove of historical and cultural places. Traveling along the spectacular Adriatic coast, the tour visits Split, the second largest city in Croatia, and a busy port that dates back to the third century.  Continuing to Plitvice Lakes, a national park, it’s the most popular tourist attraction in Croatia.  The 16 lakes are inter-connected by a series of waterfalls set in surrounding woods.  In Postojna, Slovenia, the tour includes a train trip to view one of the largest caves in Europe.  The next destination is Bled, known as the gem of Slovenia with its glacial Lake Bled and Bled Castle, which is perched on a rock overlooking the lake.  Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. is the next destination and includes a tour of the open air Central Market and Three Bridges.  The tour proceeds to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and one of the oldest European cities, to visit St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, Parliament and Government Palace.
 
The hotels used on the tour are as follows:
Dubrovnik:  Lapad, Argosy or similar
Split:  Atrium or similar
Plitvice: Jezero or similar
Bled: Park, Golf or similar
Zagreb:  Regent Esplanade or similar
