“We discovered that people have a positive impression of Stillwater, but may be aware of only a fraction of the things we can offer as a tourism destination,” said Steve Roll, chair of the Stillwater Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We want them to know that we’re a multifaceted destination and can offer much more than antique stores, summer festivals and riverfront recreation. Folks who go to will discover that they need much more than a day to experience all the town has to offer, and we hope that these itinerary ideas convince them to extend their next visit by at least a day or two.”
The itineraries illustrate the breadth of Stillwater’s attractions and amenities from romantic gondola rides, wine tastings, chocolate shops and intimate B&Bs in the Romance Package to Hot Air Balloon Rides, canoeing and cycling in the Outdoors Package to spas, teas, cooking classes and riverboat rides in the Girls’ Getaway Package.
Stillwater offers over 50 unique shops and restaurants along historic Main Street including antique shops, specialty clothing stores, furniture and accessory stores, art galleries and rare book shops.
