Weekend Golf Included with Lodging at Beech Mountain, North Carolina
BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Escape the heat this travel season and enjoy a free round of golf with a weekend stay on Beech Mountain.
Several Beech Mountain accommodations are offering a special two-night, stay-and-play package each weekend through late October, excluding the month of July. Rates begin at $79 per person, per night, and provide one golf round per person at the picturesque Beech Mountain Club.
With an elevation of 5,506 feet above sea level, Beech Mountain is a cool respite for Southeastern travelers. High temperatures are generally in the mid 70s
and the official high has exceeded 79 degrees only four times since 1992, according to National Weather Service data.
"This is one of the coolest spots in the Southeast and our golf course is always in great condition," says Beech Mountain Club general manager Brian Barnes.
"Also, the panoramic views from the course are amazing. You can see well into Virginia and Tennessee from several vantage points."
The course was originally built in the late 1960s. It was renovated and lengthened in 2008 by noted golf course architect Tom Jackson of Greenville, S.C.
Participating lodging options for this stay-and-play package include inns, condominiums, chalets and vacation homes. The offer is valid for individuals
and groups up to 20. In addition to receiving a round golf at no charge, golfers can play an additional round for just $50.
To take advantage of this deal, call (800) 468-5506 and mention the special golf package, or go online to: www.beechmtn.com/golf.
