MADISON, Wis. (June 15, 2010) — In Wisconsin, we’re always looking for new ways to have fun. This summer, experience the excitement of Wisconsin firsthand by entering the “Miles of Fun” Giveaway. The giveaway launches June 15, 2010, with help from Wisconsin’s own Dr. Miles Feldspar, archaeologist and seasoned traveler. Miles will be digging up and giving away valuable prizes including Wisconsin getaway packages, tickets to Wisconsin events and gas cards through Sept. 5, 2010.
To enter, individuals can complete an entry form to www.travelwisconsin.com with their name, e-mail address and zip code. Entrants may also submit photos and a 200 word or less statement about why or how fun originated in Wisconsin. All winners will be chosen at random.
For the Getaway Grand Prize and Getaway First Place Prize, the sky is the limit! Winners can choose their own Wisconsin fun whether it’s a golf and spa weekend, family waterpark getaway or a fishing vacation in Wisconsin's Northwoods. It’s up to the winners and the possibilities are endless. Getaway trips must be reserved and taken between Oct. 1, 2010 and Sept. 4, 2011.
One winner will receive a $2,500 Wisconsin Getaway Grand Prize package, which includes a $500 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card and $2,000 to be spent at a Wisconsin lodging destination of the winner’s choosing.
One winner will receive a $1,000 Wisconsin Getaway First Place Prize package, which includes a $250 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card and $750 to be spent at a Wisconsin lodging destination of the winner’s choosing.
Two entrants per week will win a weekly prize, including gas cards and tickets to events and festivals. Check out the Dr. Miles Feldspar to see the featured Wisconsin city and which weekly prizes are being given away.
All giveaway entrants, including weekly prize winners, are eligible to win either the Grand Prize or First Place Prize. Winners will be notified by e-mail and names will be announced via the Dr. Miles Feldspar
