Concert on the Plains of Abraham!
Mr. Pierre Boulanger, President and General Manager of the Société du 400e anniversaire de Québec, and Mr. René Angélil announced on November 12 that Celine Dion will be coming to Québec City as part of Québec City's 400th anniversary celebrations. Celine Dion will take part in a free concert special on the Plains of Abraham on August 22, 2008. During this unique show, Celine will share the stage with several other great musicians. The internationally renowned singer from Québec said she is happy and enthusiastic to sing in Québec City as part of this memorable event for which a large crowd is expected. Celine Dion insisted on giving a free concert as a symbol of her attachment to Québec and its people.

The 400-Year Journey Interactive Tour |

Residents and visitors are invited to take a stroll on the 400-year Journey Interactive Tour on January 5th and 6th, 2008, from 4 to 9 pm. This unique tour in the heart of Old Québec will allow us to relive the important events marking Québec City's history. The tour will include 13 different stations, all true works of art hosted by numerous actors, dancers and athletes. One of these stations, le Cabaret des 400 ans, will have you singing and dancing with 12 fun-crazed musicians. This interactive, colourful, entertaining and family-friendly 400-year journey tour highlights the creativity and talent of more than 150 Québec City artists and performers. Absolutely worth seeing!

400th Anniversary Opening Event - December 31, 2007 |

Québec City kicks off its 400th anniversary festivities on December 31, 2007. The opening show will present 400 years of Québec history through music, dance, acrobatics and large-scale video images. Spectators are invited to Place D'Youville where hundreds of artists will perform on a 50 meter long (164 ft) stage. You will find Palais Montcalm converted into a large projection screen, and, comes at midnight, the sky will light up with breathtaking fireworks and visual effects of all kinds.
