Readers Note Approval for Montana’s 23-Cabin All-Inclusive Relais & Châteaux Ranch

Darby, Montana – July 12, 2010 – Readers of Travel + Leisure have voted Montana's Triple Creek Ranch the #1 inn in the Continental U.S. and Canada, and the #2 hotel overall in the 15th World’s Best Awards survey. This spectacular positioning marks the second time the Relais & Châteaux property has placed on the prestigious annual Travel + Leisure list, considered one of the top honors in the hospitality industry.

Standing out among hospitality giants and long-established hotel groups, the individually owned and all-inclusive Triple Creek Ranch continues to steal the limelight with its 23 newly renovated log cabins, gorgeous Montana Rockies setting, superior service, fine cuisine and wines, and broad range of activities from horseback riding, cattle driving, Orvis-endorsed fly fishing and Nordic skiing to more tranquil pastimes such as napping in a hammock strung between Ponderosa pines or stargazing from a private hot tub.  Triple Creek Ranch was also named the #1 U.S. hotel and #5hotel worldwide on the T+L 500 list in 2009.

Pure Mountain Luxury, Updated This Spring

With over 600 acres of wooded hillside and open meadows bordered by the Bitterroot National Forest in three directions, Triple Creek Ranch has long been a favorite destination of travelers who appreciate art and comfort together with adventures in the great outdoors.  This spring, a resortwide renovation added new fabrics, appointments and original Western art to all cabins.  Cabins include a wood-burning fireplace and a private or nearby hot tub, and come with a fully stocked and complimentary wet bar, freshly baked cookies and trail mix. All rooms are equipped with direct-dial phones, satellite television, WiFi, and CD and DVD players.

Triple Creek Ranch regularly hosts themed weekends specifically designed for aspiring artists and photographers as well as for wannabe wranglers through cowboy round-ups and cattle drives.   An Orvis-endorsed fly fishing resort, Triple Creek Ranch offers superb fly fishing on the Bitterroot River.  Hiking and horseback riding through the Bitterroot National Forest afford great views of area wildlife.  Tennis, a fitness center, and an outdoor heated pool are available on-property.  For relaxation, a massage in the privacy of the guest cabin and a hot tub soak among the Ponderosa pines make inviting options. When curling up with a good book is the preference, a crackling log fire in the cabin is especially cozy.

Triple Creek Ranch puts serious emphasis on gastronomy and service. The resort features an expansive dining room and bar, a chef’s table with views of the Bitterroot Mountains, and a climate-controlled wine cellar with an extensive collection of more than 250 wines from 12 of the premier winemaking countries in the world.  A series of vintner weekends is held each spring, featuring wine dinners and seminars with premier West Coast vintners.  Triple Creek Ranch is a repeat recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and the Wine Enthusiast Award of Distinction.

Small groups including weddings, business retreats, executive meetings and family reunions are welcomed from October through May. The ranch can accommodate 60 adults in the 23 cabins, four of them with two bedrooms/two baths and one with three bedrooms/three baths. Full business services are available. Although Triple Creek Ranch is designed for adults, children under 16 are invited when the entire ranch has been reserved for private use.
