The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau Produces a New Way to Help Drive Tourists to the Destination

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND—The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau (AAACCVB) is offering interested individuals the opportunity to become traveling billboards for the destination by sporting its new VisitAnnapolis.org license plate on their vehicles.

AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore says the license plate provides individuals with a unique opportunity to spread their love of the destination everywhere they travel. “Many frequent visitors and area residents have a strong loyalty to Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. The license plate enables them to share their pride with the residents of cities, towns, and rural areas across the country that our advertising dollars could never hope to reach.” Available for purchase through the AAACCVB, the new plate bears the organization’s VisitAnnapolis.org website address, its Come Sail Away logo, and the word FUN.

Interested individuals can set the process in motion by emailing Brenda Cormany at bcormany@VisitAnnapolis.org or calling her at 410-280-0445, ext. 101. She will send inquirers a Motor Vehicle Administration application form that they can complete and return to her along with a one-time check of $25.00 made payable to the MVA. The MVA will mail motorists the new plates, a new registration card, and month and year stickers. Because the plates are a one-time purchase, future tag renewal fees will be the same as those charged for the standard Maryland-issue plates.

The AAACCVB is a nonprofit, membership-based, destination marketing organization that generates revenues for the local economy by promoting Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay to leisure and business travelers across the country and around the world.
