12th Annual Los Cabos Billfish Tournament Officially Kicks Off Tournament Season at "Land's End" Los Cabos, Mexico (August 9, 2010) -  Some travelers select Los Cabos as their destination of choice for its impressive array of world-class resorts, luxurious spas, and championship golf courses. In addition to winning a portion of the purse, which is approaching $1 million, the winners receive an invitation to represent the tournament at the IGFA Offshore World Championship, May 8 - 13, 2011. A kickoff party and an awards banquet, to be held at the official host hotel - Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa - are also scheduled during this year's tournament.
