Stillwater's Harvest Fest Features Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off October 9th
Event Includes Chili Feed, Pumpkin Drop, Costume Parade

Stillwater, MN Stillwater will host its fourth annual Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 9 from 10 am to 5 pm. The highlight of the festival includes a Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off, in which growers from surrounding states bring in their biggest gourds to vie for the honor of heaviest pumpkin. The weigh-off takes place in Lowell Park from 12-3 pm, with the awards ceremony at 4 pm and pumpkin drop at 4:15 p.m. Last year’s winner weighed over 1,500 pounds!

Visitors can sample fare from the Chef’s Gallery Chili Cook-off and a microbrewery Beer Tasting near the Lift Bridge which includes Stillwater’s Lift Bridge Beer. Proceeds from the tastings benefit Valley Outreach. Festival-goers can enter pumpkin decorating and baking contests, watch master pumpkin carvers and vegetable artists at work and enjoy live music.

If you’d rather join in the action, sign up for the pedal tractor pull or cheer on the Leo's Grill & Malt Shop Pumpkin Regatta on the river. Kids or kids at heart will also enjoy face painting, mini pumpkin decorating, a coloring contest and a kids’ costume parade. Haunted cave tours and trolley, gondola and pedi-cab rides will also be available. The afternoon will wrap up with the judging and awards ceremony at 4 pm followed by the giant pumpkin drop at 4:15 p.m.

The Stillwater Harvest Fest is sponsored by the Stillwater Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Main Street Independent Business Alliance.
