Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum has their custom model train display "FROM ROADS TO RAILS" open daily until January 3, 2011. The model town of "Tuckerville USA" envisions small town America in the 1930's through the 1950's. The detailed drive-in-car-hop, gas station, and drive-in movie bring the era alive while Lionel, Williams, Rail King and Bachmann trains in both O and HO Gage weave throughout the landscape. Hersheypark Christmas Candylane transforms the amusement park into a holiday village with over 30 rides, Santa and his nine live reindeer, live entertainment, games, shops, and food. Guests can experience N.O.E.L., a breathtaking light show featuring more than 125,000 dancing lights synchronized to favorite toe-tapping Christmas music. Hershey Lodge and The Hotel Hershey offer shows and seasonal lodging packages from "Breakfast with Santa" at either property to a "Holiday Cottage Package" at The Hotel Hershey. "Holiday with Dickens" on December 5 and 6 at The Hotel Hershey features special performances of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol with Gerald Charles Dickens, the great-great-grandson of the renowned author, presenting the beloved story at both afternoon English tea and an elegant dinner. The revised seasonal revue of Christmas in Chocolate Town, A Holiday Dinner Musical at Hershey Lodge features all-new songs, dances and sets running through December 28. The Chocolate Lab at The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue offers hands-on classes throughout the season for children to enjoy a journey through the Little Elves Workshop, where they will create their own chocolate dough ornament. Guests can also join in a celebration of German traditions with the Christkindlmarkt Holiday Market & Festival, held on December 4 and 5.
"Classic Christmas" at Hershey Gardens - Get into the holiday spirit with a variety of activities during "Classic Christmas" at Hershey Gardens Saturday, December 11 from 10a.m.-3p.m. Ice sculptures will be displayed, including demonstrations from 11a.m.-1 p.m. A wreath making demonstration with Flowers by Cherylann will take place at 10:30a.m. For the kids, crafts will be offered in the Gardens' Education Center from noon to 2:30p.m. Carolers will perform your holiday favorites beginning at 2p.m. Finally, visitors can donate to the "Giving Tree", supporting the Bethesda Mission, through December. 19. "Trim a Tree" Contest Viewing at Hershey Gardens - Come to Hershey Gardens each Friday through Sunday of December and from December 26-30 for the Winter Walk, where you can experience the Gardens as Mother Nature changes seasons. Visit, view and vote for your favorite "Trim a Tree" entry. Some of the tree themes include "Christmas traditions," "Hershey," "nature," "patriotic" and "winter fun." Koziar's Christmas Village celebrates its 62nd anniversary in 2010 as one of the Top 10 Travel Attractions in Pennsylvania as chosen by the Pennsylvania Travel Council. Open nightly through January 2, visitors will explore several outdoor attractions, while taking in over nine glass buildings, each with their own themed displays. Follow trains as they travel through and around the miniature town in the large Refreshment Barn. Enjoy sweet treats at the country kitchen or unique toys and gifts at Santa's Toy Shoppe. Christmas is Coming to Metro Bank Park from December 6-21 as the Harrisburg Senators minor league baseball donates 10 percent of all sales in their team store to local charitable organizations. The store will be open from 11 am until 7:30 pm during each of the twelve special days with Santa Claus available for photos from 5 pm until closing and free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies for those shopping. For every Holiday Ticket Pack plan sold the organization will also donate four tickets to families of local military members. Crossroads Antique Mall celebrates an Annual Special Holiday Weekend on December 6 and 7, 2010, offering unusual one-of-a-kind gifts for that special person. Crossroads provides decorating ideas or vintage accents for entertaining as well as antiques and collectibles selected by over 80 dealers. This large selection of china, glass, pottery, dolls, jewelry, primitives, furniture, trains, toys and holiday items along with items of local interest will all have bargain prices throughout the weekend. Christmas at Fort Hunter Mansion provides a Victorian Christmas from Dec. 1 - 23, Tue. through Sat. from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Sun. from 12 noon - 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the Mansion, decorated for the holidays with fresh greens, fruits and dried and fresh flowers.
