Come together with family and friends for the third annual New Year's Eve Victorian Gala Thursday, December 31, 2010, at Mount Hope Estate & Winery from 8 P.M. to 12:30 A.M. Celebrate the New Year in the allure of days gone by as the mansion is transformed into a recreation of a 19th century ball complete with music, dancing and merriment.
Party goers are graciously welcomed to the stately Mansion for this very special holiday where Victorian characters are hosting a ball to ring in the New Year with a few of their closest friends. The elaborately decorated rooms of the manor provide a festive and elegant backdrop for this event that is truly reminiscent of the romance of the Victorian Era. The gala will be brought to life by traditional Victorian dancing. The Victorian Dance Ensemble from Camp Hill, PA will be on hand to showcase these dances and to instruct the guests so they may join in the festivities. The evening's musical backdrop will be provided by Douglas Jimerson and the Civil War Comrades who will perform 19th century popular, folk and minstrel stage songs.
The evening will begin with an array of Hors d'oeuvres including Tomato & Balsamic Black Olive Bruschetta, Beef Carpaccio with Parmesan & Balsamic Glaze, Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, Shrimp & Texas Caviar bites, and Crab Imperial canapé. Guests can also feast on the delicacies from the carving table including Roasted Beef Tenderloin served with Demi Glaze accompanied by potato tournedos. Mount Hope Wines and Swashbuckler Beers will be available at the bar to enjoy throughout the evening. All of the revelry will culminate with a New Year's countdown followed by Champagne toasts and a kiss at midnight!
The New Year's Eve Victorian Gala, Friday, December 31, 8 P.M. to 12:30 A.M. Admission is $90. Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
