CHEESE & CHOCOLATE MAKE YOU THINNER AT SWITZERLAND'S BEAU-RIVAGE PALACE
PRESS RELEASE
Created in 1986 by French nutritionist Dr. Alain Delabos, Chrononutrition works by mapping out the particular enzymes and hormones the body produces at various times of the day, and then creating a corresponding diet plan of what should be eaten when. Dr. Delabos' studies suggest that, for example, fruit isn't something that our body is prepared to break down for breakfast, and that this meal should instead be hearty and greasy (cheese, bread, butter and cooked meats). Lunch should provide sugar (fruit, chocolate, etc.) and vegetable fat (avocado, olives, etc.) and carbohydrate-rich food such as pasta should be avoided at dinner.
The advantage to a regular diet? With the exception of lactose-containing foods like milk and yogurt, no foods are off limits, and one can forget calorie-counting or sticking to low-fat, non-sugar foods.
Individual Chrononutrition consultations can be arranged at the Cinq Mondes Spa with Patrick Leconte, a graduate of the University of Dijon (one of the largest nutrition centers in Europe) and former student of one of Dr. Delabos' close colleagues, Professor Jean-Robert Rapin. Additionally, the following multiple-night packages are available:
Weekend:
1 consultation with Dr. Leconte

1 coaching session
Price: CHF 955 (approximately US$1,011)
