As Prince William and Kate Middleton prepare to tie the knot in London on April 29, 2011, The Clifton Inn is offering couples an opportunity to enjoy a ceremonial royal celebration of their own through out the entire month of April with a stay in the Honeymoon Cottage, afternoon tea, and an Equestrian Outing.
In 1607, The London Company established the first permanent English colony in the New World with the founding of the Colony of Virginia. While Virginia may no longer recognize a “Virgin Queen” such as the one for which the commonwealth was originally named, or any royalty for that matter, guests at The Clifton Inn in Charlottesville can partake in a little royal wedding fever this coming spring season – without having to cross the Atlantic.
$429.11 per night
As the future King and his princess settle into their new life together, one thing is certain, they intend to enjoy many of the things typical newlyweds do – such as cooking dinner each night – themselves. Just as Kate is likely to have a little guidance starting out, newlyweds and established couples alike can benefit from a private cooking class package add-on with chef Tucker Yoder during which they will create five signature dishes and leave with all of the essentials needed to recreate the dish at home – a bound recipe book complete with a grocery list, a checklist of “kitchen essentials,” as well as souvenir Clifton aprons. The cooking class is an optional stay enhancement and is $200.
[Based on double occupancy and availability. Excludes tax and gratuity. Advance reservation required. Valid April 1-30, 2011.]
