A BY MICHAEL LORENTZ'S PASSAGE TO AFRICA
WHAT: The safari, titled Nature in Balance, is an eight-day journey of discovery, both internally and in the wilds of Botswana. Combine the powerful and raw experience of the animal kingdom with unadulterated vistas, luxury accommodations, gourmet food – and an invigorating daily Pilates in the Bush workout with Kristi Cooper White, a principal member of the BASI teaching faculty. WHERE: Some of the most pristine and exclusive wildlife reserves in the world are in Botswana. This safari includes stays at Xigera Camp, a paradise island in the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, Selinda Camp, a small, luxury camp on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, and Mombo Camp, situated on Chiefʻs Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. WHY: Begin each day with the magic of an African sunrise and a Pilates in the Bush session with Kristi. Savor the sights and smells of nature on foot, and glide through peaceful waterways in mokoro (dug-out canoes). The luxury Mambo Camp is nestled under large mangosteen, ebony and fig trees and has a reputation for the best game viewing in Africa – making it the ultimate end to a unique journey.
