Outrigger Maui Guests Can Renew Their “I Do’s” with Complimentary Vow Renewals

This exclusive Outrigger amenity allows couples to reaffirm their love with an island-inspired vow renewal service every Wednesday at Merriman’s Kapalua

HONOLULU, HAWAII– Outrigger is heating up romance this year with complimentary vow renewal ceremonies for all Outrigger condominium guests on Maui. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Maui coastline, couples from around the globe can celebrate their love and commitment to one another at an ocean-side service at Merriman’s Kapalua every Wednesday at 2 p.m.

“For many travelers, Maui epitomizes romance, so it is important to Outrigger to be able to provide our guests the opportunity to commemorate their love for one another in a unique and unforgettable way,” said Dina McCallion, director of sales - Maui, Outrigger Condominium Collection. “Whether you’re a newlywed on a honeymoon or looking forward to a golden anniversary, couples will want to take advantage of this opportunity to rejuvenate the romance and redefine their commitment to one another.”

The island-style ceremony is led by a non-denominational officiate as the couples exchange a Hawaiian lei symbolizing the unbroken circle of love. The ceremony begins with the ceremonial blowing of a conch shell. While an ukulele serenades couples, a kahu (Hawaiian officiant) performs a special Hawaiian chant, including an English translation to help participants understand the spirit of the ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests are presented with certificates to commemorate their vow renewal. Attendees have the opportunity to purchase additional services such as a champagne toast, small wedding cake, flower bouquet, photographer or videographer. Happy hour at Merriman’s Kapalua begins at 3 p.m. and offers guests the opportunity to continue the romance well past sunset. This exclusive service is available to Outrigger guests staying at any Outrigger resort condominium on the island of Maui and is limited to eight couples each week.
