MUMBAI (August 25, 2011) – Taj Safaris are opening for India’s safari season on October 16. India’s first and only all-inclusive wildlife circuit, complete with luxury base camps at four important national parks and preserves in central India, is an exciting add-on to a visit to the urban centers of Mumbai or Delhi.
Bordering India's renowned tiger reserves, Taj Safari all-inclusive lodges in Bandhavgarh National Park, Pench National Park, Panna National Park and Kanha National Park feature twice-daily jungle safaris, elephant walks, nature tours, inventive dining and more. Every guest enjoys the combination of Taj Hotels’ legendary hospitality and the expertise of &Beyond, Africa's most comprehensive safari operator and leading ecotourism company, for a unique and in-depth wilderness experience.
Each lodge offers the chance to catch a glimpse of the majestic Bengal tiger and other wildlife in their natural habitats, with rates that begin at $430 USD:
Baghvan, Pench National Park
Baghvan is located on the edge of Pench National Park, a dry deciduous forest of predominantly teak trees and meandering jungle streams, and the setting for Rudyard Kipling’s classic, The Jungle Book.
The safari lodge features 12 stand-alone luxurious air-conditioned suites in hues of copper and pale turquoise, shaded private patios and indoor and outdoor showers, handmade Parsi tiles, giant ebony chests, and huge windows overlooking the riverbed. Breakfasts and lunches are served on a sweeping shaded deck surrounding a beautiful swimming pool and overlooking the nullah, a favored route of Pench tigers. Sunset is celebrated with cocktails under a huge Banyan tree whilst watching a giant flying squirrel perform breathtaking aerobatics. < [Back to Press Releases Main]
