The Discover Your Roots package makes it incredibly easy to embark on what might seem like a daunting journey.  The participants need to do some good basic research about their Irish ancestor, as two to three weeks prior to their arrival they will need to fill out a questionnaire which includes information such as the name of the Irish born ancestor, the approximate year of birth, birthplace, name of ancestor's parents, spouse (if married in Ireland), date and place of marriage, occupation, religious denomination, date of emigration from Ireland, and state/country where they first settled after emigration. This will then be submitted to The Shelbourne Hotel's own Genealogy Butler, Helen Kelly, an experienced, professional genealogist.
