Delaware

Not afraid of getting spooked? With the First State’s distinctive history and heritage in the American Revolution, Civil War and Underground Railroad, Delaware has a host of historical haunts throughout the state. More than 30,000 Confederate soldiers were incarcerated in Fort Delaware, a moated prison on Pea Patch Island near Delaware City.
