Why Turkey Should Be On Your Destination List

Dear Travel Professional,

Upon my return from a recent trip to Turkey, someone asked me if i felt safe while traveling there.  It seemed like such a silly question - but it occurred to me that it surely must be a question that you might get asked.  There were 12 of us on this last journey - all travel professionals - and I'm sure i speak for all of them when i say that we not only felt safe, but we were most definitely welcomed in every place we stopped.   Turkish people are extremely hospitable and helpful - and so many of them speak some English too.   But i think what surprises most visitors is how large the country is and the level of diversity found from one area to the next. Turkey is definitely a destination that one can visit several times and each time take a different itinerary and have a completely new experience. It is one of the reasons why i always say that Turkey has something for everyone;. it appeals to travelers of all interests.
