CHINA SPREE’S AMAZING $799 BEIJING WINTER SPECIAL

10-19-2011

6-Night Package Includes Air, 4-Star Hotel, Tours, Meals

Blaine, WA, October 19, 2011—It’s hard to imagine a 6-night trip to China for only $799 (plus $71 tax).  That’s less than the normal air fare!  But, living up to their motto—first-class travel at bargain prices—that’s what China Spree Travel is offering in January and February from San Francisco.  The price from Los Angeles is $849; from New York, it’s $1,129.  The Timeless Beijing package includes not only transpacific air fare, but also airport transfers,  accommodations in a centrally-located 4-star hotel, daily American buffet breakfasts, three  lunches, and three days of guided tours with entrance fees.

While a good, warm coat and cozy mittens are necessary in January and February, the big advantage to traveling at that time of year is the lack of crowds, which can sometimes seem overwhelming during high season..

The guided tours visit Beijing’s highlights: the famous Tiananmen Square,  world’s largest;  the Forbidden City, the 9,999-room palace from which 24 emperors ruled the Middle Kingdom for almost 500 years; and a rickshaw ride through a hutong, an Old Beiijing neighborhood of narrow, alleys, with lunch in a traditional courtyard home.  The second day, there’s  a full-day excursion to the Sacred Way of Ming Tombs and to China’s most  famous monument: the centuries-old, 3,500-mile-long Great Wall of China.  Day three takes in that masterpiece of Ming architecture, the Temple of Heaven (watch locals doing complicated tai chi on the grounds), the “Bird Nest” Olympic stadium (exterior view only) and the idyllic lakeside Summer Palace gardens and marble boat.  The other days are free to explore and shop on your own, but reasonably-priced optional tours are available if you prefer.

The modern 464-room Huabin International Hotel (or similar) is conveniently close to sightseeing attractions, shopping and restaurants (McDonald’s, KFC and pizza—even Häagen-Dazs--are ubiquitous).   All rooms are equipped with LCD TVs with satellite channels, broadband Internet access, mini-bar, telephone, hair dryer, coffee maker and in-room safe.

Note that package prices are higher in March.  Add-on air fares from other departure cities are: $190 from Washington, D.C., $220 from Boston, $190 from Chicago and $250 from Houston.

All prices quoted are cash only, are per person, double occupancy, and are subject to availability.  For more information about the Timeless Beijing winter special and other good-deal packages and tours, log onto www.chinaspree.com and click “China Tours.”
