London, England (10/2011) -- Author Conan Doyle, who created Sherlock Holmes, was a regular visitor to The Langham, London in the 1880's.  It was here where the meeting took place that was pivotal in the creation of the beloved Sherlock Holmes detective stories.

 

With the December 2011 premiere of Guy Ritchie's new movie; Sherlock Holmes:  AGame of Shadows, the famous detective will once again be back in the news.  To celebrate the author and detective who both frequented The Langham in person and in the stories, the hotel has created a special package revolving around the world of Sherlock Holmes.

 

Guests who book "The Sherlock Holmes Package" can reside in the 'Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Suite', a duplex garrett style suite located in the hotel's turret with views of the city skyline and enjoy a walking tour of London, exploring the many sites and haunts featured in Conan Doyle's original stories as well as the locations used in the new films.  

 

"The Sherlock Holmes Package" is priced at £595 per night and includes:

 

  • Overnight accommodation in the 'Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Suite'.
  • English Breakfast for two persons in Roux at The Landau.
  • Two tickets to the Sherlock Holmes London Walking Tour
