WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, OAHU – The OHANA Waikiki Malia proves that it really is possible to make a good thing better. This fall, the hotel unveiled a brand new lounge pool and whirlpool spa – the first for the hotel -- as well as two exciting new eateries, Slice of Waikiki, a grab-and-go pizza counter, and Rivals Waikiki sports bar, to enhance guests’ experiences.

The new lounge pool, whirlpool spa and newly renovated patio at the OHANA Waikiki Malia are making a splash with guests. By day, the patio is a quiet retreat where guests can enjoy a cool off or rejuvenate in the whirlpool spa – perfect after a long day of adventure and fun. By night, Rivals Waikiki expands onto the patio offering patrons a fresh outdoor setting for fun and refreshments.

In fact, sports enthusiasts can keep up with all of their favorite teams even while on vacation when they make a pit stop at Rivals Waikiki. The Las Vegas-inspired, full service sports bar is equipped with 14 high-definition satellite televisions, complete with surround sound for a front row experience. Die-hard fans can also bask in the presences of photographs, jerseys, balls and other memorabilia from their favorite football, baseball, basketball and hockey stars that adorn the walls. And for those who have worked up an appetite, Rivals Waikiki offers 19-inch, made-to-order pizzas that diners can pair with any one of the bar’s 15 beers, or a glass from the highly-rated vintage wine collection. Friendly bartenders are also happy to mix up a variety of drinks, including signature Rivals Waikiki twists on classics like the Mai Tai, Bloody Mary, and Blue Hawaii. Rivals Waikiki is open daily from 12 p.m. – 2 a.m.

And serving up slices of super-sized pizzas, the Slice of Waikiki pizza counter makes it easy to grab a quick bite to eat between adventures. Pizza purists can stick to classics like pepperoni or spinach and garlic combinations while diners looking to kick it up a notch can opt for a slice of the Hot Italian, which includes Italian sausage, pepperoni, Roma tomatoes, sweet peppers and jalapeños. Slice of Waikiki is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
