Past or present, prairie dwellers are hardy folks. First it was the Voyageurs, then the Selkirk Settlers, now the Ice Donkeyparticipants. Winnipeggers 'test their mettle' in a multi-sport event that involves snowshoeing, ice biking, ice skating and running.

Let's play our national sport the way it's meant to be played: outdoors. Manitoba's largest pond hockey tournament takes place in Minnedosa, 216 kms west of the capital city of Winnipeg, during Skate the Lake.
