Limerick City's 2012 St. Patrick's Festival will include a giant St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 17^th, and the following day the 41st International Band Parade and Competition will take place.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17^th is the largest parade in the country outside of Dublin and will include a large number of colorful entries, as well as hundreds of musicians, dancers and entertainers.  More than 70,000 spectators thronged the streets of Limerick last year for the St Patrick's Day parade and the 2012 festival promises to be ever bigger!

On Sunday, March 18^th, the Limerick International Band Parade will celebrate its 43^rd anniversary with over 800 musicians converging in Limerick for the event.  Marching bands from around Ireland, the USA, Europe and Northern Ireland will join Limerick's finest musicians and showcase their talents with adrenalin pumping music for everyone to enjoy. The Band Parade ends in Limerick’s Arthur's Quay Park with a free concert for the public.
