Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania, January 2012 ... The Inn at Pocono Manor offers something no other resort in the Poconos has this season -- a genuine Iditarod Musher in the form of Kim Darst - 2009 NJ Iditarod Rookie Musher and participant in the Alaskan Iditarod!  The Inn partners with Arctic Paws Dog Sled Tours for rides like none other in the storied Pocono Mountains. 

A dog sled ride with Musher Kim Darst takes approximately one hour with passengers in the basket of the dog sled and Kim mushing.  Guests glide along the pristine trails of the Inn at Pocono Manor's picturesque West Course with veteran Iditarod huskies pulling the sled, driven by Kim. 

Guest don’t have to mush – they’re just along for an amazing ride while Kim and her team of Alaskan huskies do all the work.  Guests also have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear first hand from Kim about running and mushing in the legendary Alaskan Iditarod, which Kim participated in, and which is known as The Last Great Race!

Dog sled rides at The Inn at Pocono Manor are from $160 for an hour-long ride for two people (up to 2 guests in the sled).  For those who want to spend the night at the beautifully renovated Inn, guestroom rates are from $95 per room per night plus tax.
