February 15, 2012 (Frederick, MD) -  During Frederick Restaurant Week, meals aren't the only great deal. This year, the Courtyard Frederick by Marriott is offering special pricing during the promotion so visitors can experience all there is to see and do in Frederick County. Frederick Restaurant Week is March 5-11, 2012, and hotel room rates will be offered starting at $79.00 a night from March 8-12, 2012. Guests can book directly online. 

   

"Visitors from near and far are drawn to our area because of its rich history, shopping, dining, and vibrant arts scene," says John Fieseler, executive director of the Tourism Council of Frederick County. "Frederick Restaurant Week may help entice visitors to the area during this particular week, and we welcome them to stay and enjoy all that the Frederick area has to offer," he added.

 

The 7-day Frederick Restaurant Week promotion showcases the unique and fine dining options available in Downtown Frederick and the surrounding area. Featuring over twenty restaurants, Frederick Restaurant Week offers delicious 2-course and 3-course menus offered at special prices. Lunches are offered at $15.12 for a 2-course meal and $20.12 for a 3-course meal. Dinners are offered at $20.12 for a 2-course meal and $30.12 for a 3-course meal. Courtyard by Marriott Bistro will also participate in Frederick Restaurant Week," explains Betsy Collings, Director of Sales for the Frederick Marriott Hotels. "With our bistro offering Frederick Restaurant Week pricing for dinner that week, guests can choose to dine where they stay or venture to one of the other nearby participating 20 restaurants," she added.

 

A number of special events across Frederick County coincide with Frederick Restaurant Week 2012.For adventurers, why not dine and fly? On March 10, women can take to the air during the Fly it Forward event at the Frederick Municipal Airport. This event invites women and girls of all ages who have never been in a small aircraft before to enjoy a free flight. The event also features tethered hot air balloon rides and airport tower tours. Other event highlights include art exhibits, performances by the Maryland Shakespeare Festival, concerts at the Weinberg Center for the Arts, the 42nd Annual Maple Syrup Festival, and a paddling seminar and river trip.
