This is Yellowstone's premier luxury wilderness glamping experience and one of the few ways to escape summer crowds and overnight inside Yellowstone National Park‚s wilderness, said Steve Lentz, the company‚s visionary owner. For minimally 48 hours (two days and two nights) it‚s complete family time out from life‚s frenzy and Yellowstone‚s traffic jams.

Why 48 hours?

„That‚s the minimal amount of time a human being needs to at least begin to brush off the other life,‰ says Lentz. „This process is assisted by the private location of our camp on a remote inlet providing complete solitude and escape from the trappings of our over-civilized world.‰

„And you should see what‚s in store at night with our telescope,‰ said Lentz. „At 7,732 feet above sea level, the thin atmosphere and usual dry, cloudless conditions make for some of the best star and planet gazing in the Lower 48.‰

In the morning guests check-in at Bridge Bay Marina deep inside the park for a cabin cruiser transfer across America's largest lake at high elevation (above 7,000‚) to the doorstep of Yellowstone Park's real wilderness. At a remote dock guides await with sea kayaks; after a basic safety orientation guests paddle a short distance to the evening's pre-set camp.  This Yellowstone program maintains a 3:1 guest to guide ratio with opportunities for lake kayaking, guided backcountry hikes, wildlife observation and fly-fishing.

The Far and Away experience (http://far-away.com/combines the rare elements of luxury and camping, hence „glamping‰ in today‚s parlance. Guests find retreat in a spacious, carpeted tent with two elevated beds and a nightstand.

Morning begins with a breakfast spread for early risers who can eat a cooked breakfast later if they choose. Lunch is a gourmet picnic affair. Formally served appetizers surface around 7 p.m. and a four-course, linen-draped, candlelight dinner proceeds before a naturalist discourses with music and tales around the campfire. A main course might be wild salmon, Snake River Farms Kobe Wagyu Beef or Kurobuta Pork, or Fulton Valley Farms poultry. Wine pairings and desserts conclude each night‚s feast. Children may enjoy their own menu.

Far and Away Adventures walks the sustainable talk throughout its programs. While offering the world's most luxurious wilderness camping both on Yellowstone Lake and while whitewater rafting on Idaho's Middle Fork of the SalmonThe Owyhee,  and the Wild and Scenic Bruneau, they do so in a sustainable and organic manner with, among others, a leave-no-trace ethic andgourmet meals that are 95 percent organic from locally sourced foods.
