Springtime Fun

A Million Blooms
Fun is blossoming at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden! A Million Blooms, now-June 3 features a spectacular succession of blooms. A Million Blooms kicks off with Orchids Galore!, on display through April 22. Highlights include Easter Weekend, Mother's Day, the Spring Plant Sale and activities in the Children's Garden.    

1622 Virginia Indian Offensive
Visit Henricus Historical Park on March 24 and experience first-person historical interpretation of the March 1622 Virginia Indian Offensive. Highlights include tours of the James River by Discover the James and an evening candlelight tour that will examine the aftermath of the raid. 
20th French Film Festival
The popular French Film Festival promoting French language, cinema and culture is returning to Richmond for its 20th year March 29-April 1. Screenings will take place in Richmond's historic Byrd Theatre, recently named one of "10 great places to see a movie in splendor" by USA Today!  

Civil War and Emancipation Day
Civil War and Emancipation Day, taking place April 14, features free entry to the area's Civil War and African-American heritage sites and attractions. This year, the Richmond Adventure Race will take place in conjunction with Civil War & Emancipation Day. Race participants play for a chance to win $1,700!
