ART, GOD, AND AN
UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIP

A young artist arrives in 1980s Atlanta knowing three things for certain: He’s gay, he’s an atheist and he's destined to kill himself. Howard is the preacher and religious conservative who created Paradise Garden, a folk art garden with messages from the Lord. The two become unlikely friends in this piece, based on the true story of Robert Sherer and his mentor, the Rev. Howard Finster.

*"Hidden Man" contains nudity.

A WORLD PREMIERE SIDE-SPLITTIN' NEW MUSICAL
America's most romantic gangsters outwit and outrun a relentless J. Edgar Hoover to the delight of the poor and downtrodden in this funny, tuneful and historically dubious "Clyde 'n Bonnie: A Folktale" at Aurora Theatre, a brand-new musical with a Broadway pedigree.

TONY AWARD-WINNING 'MOTHER' PREMIERES
AT ACTOR'S EXPRESS

"The Motherf**ker With the Hat " is a high-octane, highly profane roller-coaster ride about love, fidelity, addiction and misplaced haberdashery centering on a recovering addict, his girlfriend and his sponsor. The New York Times called it “a bruising, tragicomic apache dance of love, betrayal and indecision … by far the most accomplished and affecting work” from playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, whose "Jesus Hopped the A Train" and "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot."

*This dark comedy includes adult themes, extremely strong language and nudity, and is intended for mature audiences only

YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH
The Suzi Award-recommended "Faith Healer" by Brian Friel is an exploration of memory, perception and identity in which a traveling faith healer plies his trade in rural areas of the British Isles. This staging, by JibJam Productions, is at the First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta in Candler Park. The New York Times praised the play's "lingering affect and mesmeric intensity," while producer Bryan Davis called it a "terrific ride" with "beautiful language [that] engages the audience with story."
