Allegiant Air’s carry-on fee — the right thing for the wrong reason. Posted: 06 Apr 2012 04:03 AM PDT Allegiant Air probably just instituted their new carry-on baggage fee to add to their bottom line. But, they may be onto something that, if tweaked by other airlines, could improve things for many travelers. Here's my reasoning.
