Sneak a Peak at New Florida Attractions

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Jan. 29, 2008) – Think you’ve seen all there is to see? Think again! Florida’s vacation hot spots have added brand new elements to their already exhilarating experiences, to give guests an excuse to come back to the Sunshine State this year. From thrilling rides and exciting shows to interactive games and fascinating exhibits, a Florida adventure is never the same twice.

“As one of the world’s top destinations, Florida’s vacation options are constantly changing,” said Bud Nocera, president and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA®. “Our attractions continuously challenge themselves to offer new and exciting experiences for visitors to enjoy.”

This spring, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay presents its newest adventure, Jungala, a four-acre wildlife attraction set in the heart of the Congo. As the most ambitious enhancement to date, Jungala allows guests to discover exotic animals, explore a hidden village, monkey-around on a play area or zoom down the new zip-line experience over orangutans and Bengal tigers.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Aquatica is making a splash in March. This brand new 60-acre water park submerges guests in up-close animal experiences, high speed thrills and sandy beaches.  Aquatica features 36 winding and twisting water slides, six relaxing rivers and luxurious lagoons and more than 80,000 square-feet of bountiful beach area.

Guests can explore a new side of Springfield with the Simpson’s on Universal Orlando’s new ride, opening in spring, which rockets guests through an unimaginably hysterical adventure. Debuting this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Toy Story Mania!, an interactive competitive ride where riders twist and turn through a video game while racking up points alongside Buzz and Woody.
