Can bomb-sniffing rats help TSA? Seriously Posted: 05 Jun 2012 03:00 AM PDT Rats have even better noses than dogs. In one hearing I attended, TSA was working with researchers to replicate a dog's nose. Other times I have heard that dogs take too long to train and that they get tired. But, rats! Cheap and plentiful and great sniffers.
