HOARD OF ANCIENT JEWELRY EXCAVATED AT
TEL MEGIDDO IN NORTHERN ISRAEL

A collection of ancient gold and silver jewelry believed to be from the year 1,100 B.C. was excavated last month at Tel Megiddo in the Jezreel Valley in northern Israel. The discovery included a gold earring decorated with molded ibexes, as well as rings, earrings and beads. Researchers from Tel Aviv University believe the collection may have originated from Egypt and is part of the remains from a private home near Tel Megiddo, which the New Testament predicted as the site of Armageddon.
