Telluride Jazz is thrilled to announce the addition of this legendary Grammy-winning family to this summer's line-up. The Neville Brothers; Art, Charles, Aaron, and Cyril continue to entertain and excite audiences around the world. They masterfully combine R&B, jazz, reggae, and elements of rock and Zydeco with a harmony-based funk groove all their own. The Neville Brothers will get you groovin' with their unique sounds from New Orleans' rich R&B legacy.
In addition to this famous family, Telluride Jazz welcomes McCoy Tyner (4-time Grammy Winner) as Guest of Honor, Doctor John (see below), Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman Group, acclaimed soul sister Bettye LaVette, Simone (daughter of Nina Simone), Maelstrom Group with Skerik, Latin orchestra Grupo Fantasma, Flamenco guitarist Chuscales, Downbeat award-winning Crescent Super Band, Telluride Student Jazz All-Stars and more acts to be announced.  Doctor John- Right Place, Right Time
Dr. John is universally celebrated as the living embodiment of the rich musical heritage exclusive to New Orleans. His very colorful musical career began in the 1950s and continues to dazzle and delight audiences across the globe with his unique blend of voodoo mysticism, funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock and Creole roots. Several of his many career highlights include the masterful album "Sun, Moon and Herbs" in 1971 which included cameos from Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger and 1973's "In The Right Place", which contained the chart hit "Right Place Wrong Time" and "Such A Night." Dr. John garnered Grammy award wins in 1989, 1992, 1996 and 2000. He has also received five other nominations over the years.

Along with all the music at Telluride Town Park, in town and the Mountain Village, you can enjoy the Telluride Balloon Festival (this will be their 25th year) on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8. Early morning ascents over the stunning Telluride valley take place both days. If you've listened to jazz until the wee hours, don't fret...they will be closing Main Street on Saturday night for an evening Balloon Glow that draws crowds. And Telluride Jazz will provide sounds to accompany the sights.
