“CUSTOMIZED” ITALY SMALL-GROUP TOURS IN BIKING, SKIING, HIKING/WALKING

LAUNCHED BY ITALIAOUTDOORS FOOD AND WINE

Bespoke Tours Complemented with Culinary and Culture for Varied Budgets, Interests and Skill Levels

Newburyport, MA (June 2012) – Italiaoutdoors Food and Wine introduces personalized adventure holidays in Italy, ideal for a small group looking to create a “dream vacation.”  Designed one-on-one with an Italiaoutdoors expert, programs of one week or longer are individually crafted to meet the interests of all group participants, allowing accomplished cyclists, skiers, hikers or walkers to enjoy a holiday together with those desiring a less strenuous experience.  Priced starting at $3495 per person, based on double occupancy, bespoke tours of 4-12 people include accommodations in 3+ star hotels; all ground transfers; daily wine tastings; bike rental; GPS for personal exploration; entry fees to attractions; all breakfasts and snacks; and most dinners.

Italiaoutdoors applies firsthand knowledge of Northeastern Italy to create an experience that is meaningful and enjoyable for all group participants.  Led by the company’s two founders, both Italy experts, each tour is refined daily to address new interests or desired experiences of all participants.  Bicycling, hiking, walking and skiing tours are complemented with culinary and cultural activities such as winery and museums tours, shopping, cooking classes, and history- or architecture-oriented sightseeing. Tours are set among some of Italy’s most scenic areas including the Dolomite Mountains, the Adriatic coastline, and the Lago di Garda, locations with terrain appropriate for multiple skill levels.

Planning begins with pre-trip conversations to assess fitness levels, interests and budget.  Italiaoutdoors specializes in working with groups of mixed abilities, drawing upon the guides’ extensive knowledge of Northern Italy to provide multiple route options and flexibility throughout each tour.  Sample bike tours might include routes for those wanting challenges on classic Dolomite climbs along with flatter routes for those interested in riding at a more leisurely pace. Ski tours may include scheduling for those wanting to maximize time on the slopes as well as a mix of skiing and sightseeing for others.  Trips often blend fitness activities with shopping and touring, arranging for all to meet up for meals and debriefs.
