The Castle at Adare Manor Hotel to host an Afternoon Garden Tea Party

Celebrating the 200^thAnniversary of Lady Caroline Dunraven’s Arrival

 

 

Adare Village, (Co. Limerick, Ireland), June 2012 … Adare Manor, one of western Ireland’s most extraordinary Five Star gothic castle hotels, will bring back the ambiance and elegance of the Edwardian Era to celebrate the First Lady Dunraven’s arrival at the estate 200 years ago. 

 

On Sunday, July 22^nd, Adare Manor will host “The Garden Party” in the castle’s formal gardens.  The dress code for the event will be period so as to create a tableau vivant of “The Garden Party” -- the painting of a similar party from 1903 at Adare Manor by artist John Sutton.

1812, the First Lady Dunraven, Lady Caroline, visited Adare Manor for her inaugural stay at what was to become her beloved home.  Her impact on the estate now spans two centuries.  Today, guests of the castle can enjoy one of the property’s most extraordinary suites, Lady Caroline’s Suite at Adare Manor, which includes her private rooms that were decorated especially for her. 

 

The Adare Manor Garden Party will begin at 3.00pm on Sunday, July 22^nd.  Tickets are $65 / €50.00 per person, with the proceeds being donated to Milford Hospice, located nearby.
